Portage County is currently undergoing major road repairs and maintenance across the map, according the Ohio Department of Transportation's District 4 office.
Beginning April 10, Frost Road between Ellsworth Road and Phillips Parkway and at the intersection of Frost Road and Route 43 in Streetsboro will have occasional lane restrictions for roadway widening.
This work is the beginning of a $5.5 million project to widen Frost Road between Sunny Lane and Route 43 and between Ellsworth Road to Phillips Parkway. The project also includes the widening of the Frost Road bridge over I-480. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2018.
Then, beginning April 17, Route 303 between Stanley and Bryant roads in Windham Township will be closed through April 21 for a culvert replacement. The detour will be Route 88 to Route 82 to Route 303.
Route 261 in Kent just east of Mogadore Road will continue to have occasional lane restrictions for minor bridge repairs. This work is part of a $1.8 million project to make repairs to the Route 261 bridge over Plum Creek. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late September 2017.
