A man found dead Thursday in a ditch on Invernest Street in Streetsboro was identified Friday by police as a 20-year-old Mantua Township resident.

David A. Bowles was found face down in 3 to 5 inches of water in a ditch in the area of 2620 Invernest St. by sheriff's deputies and firefighters responding to a report of a body in the area, just west of the Shalersville-Streetsboro border, according to Streetsboro police.

Bowles' body was found less than half a mile from his last known address in the 2700 block of Frost Road, according to public records. He was a 2015 graduate of Crestwood High School, according to his Facebook page.

Foul play is not suspected, thought Police Chief Darin Powers said the investigation is ongoing. A final cause of death is pending the completion of toxicology tests by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, which is conducting the autopsy. This may take weeks or months, Powers said.
