A former Aurora resident has pleaded guilty to a felony robbery charge for assaulting a store employee during a theft at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.

John A. Harris, 22, formerly of Carlton Drive but now with an address in Warrensville Heights, pleaded guilty recently to robbery, a third-degree felony. He faces the possibility of up to three years in prison.

By pleading guilty, Harris admitted to going to the Saks Off 5th Avenue outlet store at Aurora Farms on Feb. 6. He took several pieces of jewelry and left without paying, according to Aurora police.

Harris pushed a loss prevention officer who tried to take him to the security office.
