Streetsboro — The new high school and an addition to Campus Elementary School both are expected to be completed in December 2016, according to a construction timeline presented at the Board of Education’s June 12 meeting.
“We are publicly announcing what we hope our timeline will be for this project,” Superintendent Michael Daulbaugh said. “We’re looking to start and finish this project in four years, and we’ll have a brand new Streetsboro district.”
Referring to the two projected December completion dates, Daulbaugh said, “Lots of districts have done mid-year move-ins.”
The timeline was presented by Dana Strizzi, vice president of operations for Hammond Construction, which is working as the construction management firm for the project.
Other projected completion dates include the athletic complex, including a new stadium, in August of 2016, and the renovation of the existing high school for middle school students in August 2018.
Groundbreaking for the new high school and the Campus addition will occur in the spring of 2015, he said.
