Record Publishing Co. partner offers free social media seminar

Darrell Hively's free seminar sponsored by Spectrum, the digital partner to Record Publishing Co., this morning was fabulous and free for any local merchant that wants to know how to use social media to his or her advantage.

The first session was held at the Kent State Hotel & Conference Center this morning. Another follows at the Natatorium at 5:30 p.m. today in Cuyahoga Falls and a third is scheduled Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.

Hively makes it so easy to understand that even I get it. I'd advise any business that wants to learn how to use social media better to attend one of these free sessions. There's no catch, no obligation. It's one of the more worthwhile 90 minutes you'll spend this year in your business or service. Good for the professionals too!

Hively is speaking to the right. Harry Newman, left, is giving away digital door prizes won by PARTA, Magic City, Liz Murphy's Shop Locally at Destination Hudson, and Jack Kohl Realty. The diagram pictured explains social media components. Don't cheat yourself. Be there!
