Wolf selected to vacant Aurora City Council seat

Aurora City Council selected Scott Wolf on Thursday night to fill the at-large Council seat of Mayor Anne Womer Benjamin.

He received six votes after eight candidates were interviewed, while Robert Galaska Jr. received one vote. Candidates Joe Kastelic and Fred Rote withdrew from consideration prior to the evening meeting.

Seven City Councilmen were present at the special session, with Ward 1 Councilman Jim Vaca absent.

Wolf finished third in a four-person race for the at-large seat won by Amy McDougald in the November 2013 election.The at-large seat's term runs until Dec. 2015.
