Aurora — A 63-year-old Aurora man was listed in critical condition today (Sept. 19) following a Sept. 17 accident in which his motorcycle struck a landscaping trailer at about 2 p.m. on East Pioneer Trail between Eldridge and New Hudson roads.
Robert Dalton was ejected from the saddle of his motorcycle, struck the pavement andwas lifeflighted to MetroHealth Medical Center. He was not wearing a helmet, Fire Chief David Barnes said.
Dalton’s four-wheel motorcycle, which was headed eastbound on East Pioneer Trail, struck the landscaping trailer going westbound that was being pulled by a pickup truck, according to Police Lt. Rob Hagquist. A 21-year-old Cleveland man who was driving the pickup truck was not injured.
No charges have been filed as a police investigation continues. There was minimal damage to both vehicles, Hagquist said.
