The 2013 Relay For Life for Northern Portage County kicked off with a gathering Feb. 2 at Doogan’s. Area residents had an opportunity to learn about the event and register their teams. Entering information for her team on a laptop computer is Lauren Holman, left, who is the Aurora Chamber of Commerce’s executive director. With her is Renee Scherick, income development representative for the American Cancer Society’s East Cenral division-Notheast Region. This year’s event will take place June 1-2 at the Aurora school district’s Veterans Stadium.
