Navy Hospitalman Sara B. Vanderwist, daughter of Kim Turkoc of Reminderville, recently graduated from Aerospace Medicine School.
During the course at the Naval Medical Institute, Pensacola, Fla., students are taught the procedures used to assist doctors with special examinations for naval aviators and flight crewmembers.
Studies also include anatomy, physiology in the aviation environment, psychological testing, medical aspects of acceleration, aviation safety and the maintenance of aviation health records.
Vanderwist is a 2003 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School.
