Aurora -- It appears the plug has been pulled on the city parks/recreation department's plans to offer community garden plots to residents in 2010.

Parks-Rec Director Jim Kraus last week withdrew an application for a conditional zoning certificate to set up the gardens after planning commission members indicated they wanted to wait until a parks/rec master plan is adopted before granting the CZC.

Kraus had hoped to get CZC approval so 112 20-by-20-foot plots could be readied for rental by residents this spring.
