Twinsburg — Former Bedford Law Director Ken Schuman was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence on Interstate 480 in Twinsburg in the early morning hours of Aug. 26.
According to police records, a motorist on I-480 eastbound contacted police at 2:40 a.m. to report a vehicle traveling erratically on the roadway, swerving in and out of lanes. Officers responded and pulled the vehicle over, identifying the driver as Schuman, 42, of Bedford.
Schuman performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested for OVI, lanes of travel and driving in weaving course. Police Chief Chris Noga said Schuman refused a breath test for blood alcohol concentration.
Schuman was taken to Solon jail and held on a $500 bond. He posted a cash bond at 5:26 a.m., according to Solon Police Sgt. Steven Galaska.
