On Oct. 12, heralded guitar pros Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo are performing in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, at the historic Happy Days Lodge. The concert is co-hosted by the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the National Park Service.
Frank Vignola has toured with Ringo Starr, Madonna, Wynton Marsalis, and many others, and is lauded as one of Les Paul's five most admired guitarists. His regular duo partner Vinny Raniolo is a highly sought-after accompanist who has toured in 14 countries and appeared in HBO's Boardwalk Empire. As a pair, they're regulars on National Public Radio and PBS. These two talented musicians bring a great sense of humor and a warm presence to the stage, a compliment to their high-energy shows.
Tickets can be purchased at forcvnp.org/concerts. Doors open at 7 p.m. Concert starts at 8 p.m. Concert takes place at Happy Days Lodge, at 500 West Streetsboro Street/State Route 303, in Peninsula.
Vignola and Raniolo have played in the Great Hall at Happy Days Lodge before, a beautiful Civilian Conservation Corps building that was constructed in the 1930s from local wormy chestnut. The venue hosts folk, bluegrass, Celtic, and other concerts year-round as part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Concert Series.
