The dean's list for the fall 2016 semester at the University of Findlay has been announced, and it includes Chrysta Blechschmid and Emily Moore of Aurora. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Capital University has announced that Vasia Williams of Aurora was named to the provost's list for the fall 2016 semester. To be named, full-time, degree-seeking students must have achieved a grade-point average of at least 3.70.

Thomas J. Riedy of Aurora has been named to the president's list at Clemson University for the fall 2016 semester. He is majoring in political science. To be named to the president's list, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

A total of 160 Heidelberg University student-athletes were honored earlier this month for their achievements in the classroom. Morgan Strenk of Aurora earned the Landess Scholar-Athlete Award for the fall semester.

Strenk, a junior athletic training major, was honored as a member of the volleyball team.

The Landess Scholar-Athlete Award, made possible through a gift from Heidelberg Board of Trustees member Bill Landess, class of 1995, recognizes students-athletes who earn above a 3.0 GPA during the semester of competition. The team trophy for the fall semester went to the women's cross country team, which recorded a combined 3.45 GPA.
