According to officials, the 2016-17 academic year got off to a great start when Heidelberg University in Tiffin welcomed nearly 400 first-year and 40 transfer students, one of the largest classes of new students in the university’s history.
Among the entering class of students are the following local residents: Dylan Marder of Aurora, who plans to major in business administration; and Emily Studer of Aurora, who plans to major in psychology.
The new and transfer students, numbering 411, arrived with one of the highest recorded average GPA and ACT cohort scores, said Doug Kellar, vice president for enrollment management.
