Student council organizes activities for the whole school throughout the year. Some of the activities in the past include tailgate parties before football games, coat and food drives, 3 on 3 basketball tournaments to support the American Heart Association and selling concessions at home sporting events.

Information about the group is available from Jennifer Golec or Jennifer Jenkins.

Harmon students can purchase cases for their chromebooks in the media center. Checks should be made out to the Harmon/High School PTO.

School supplies eyed

Aurora High's service learning class has started a school supplies drive, which will run the next two weeks.

Students are encouraged to bring gently-used backpacks, folders, binders and other supplies to donation boxes located by the class posters.

After collection, the supplies will be delivered anonymously to a school district in Louisiana. See Mike Rubin or members of the class for answers to any questions.

The second session of auditions for Aurora High's autumn play "Almost Maine" will be Sept. 8 at 2:45 p.m. in the auditorium. Students must read from the script.
