The Elementary PTO raised $550 from the March Market Day program, raising the total for the school year so far to $7,200.

The next Market Day sale is May 7 (orders due May 2), while the one after that will be June 4 (orders due May 30). A summer truck sale will be July 23 (orders due July 18).

New customers this month get $5 off their first orders of $25 or more (coupon code is NEWFIVE). There also is a deal on cookie dough ($2 off two boxes and $5 off three boxes).

The kindergarten spring concert will be May 2 at Miller School. The schedule is as follows: Sabulsky's and Yonally's classes at 9:30 a.m., Buettin's morning, Dolezal's and Smerkar's classes at 10:30 and Buettin's afternoon, Gallucci's and Haughey's classes at 2:30 p.m.

Craddock's game night is April 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with first-grade families from 6 to 7:15 and second-grade families from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.

In the Boxtops for Education contest, Kyle Lancaster won a $100 Lego gift card, while Shyann Landals, Hailey Szachury, Kaitlyn Zgonc and Nathan Laslo won $10 Cold Stone Creamery gift cards.

Thanks go to local residents who contributed to the food drive for the Garrettsville-Nelson Food Pantry, Stacey Barnes and students for their response to the Build a Bear campaign for Akron Children's Hospital and Audrey Winkler for her work with the boxtops program.

Parents who couldn't register their students for next year's kindergarten can still do so between 9:30 a.m. and noon and 2 to 4 p.m. at Miller School. Take a birth certificate and proof of residency.

There will be no school April 18 (Good Friday) and April 21.
