A math and literacy night is scheduled tonight (Oct. 2) at 6:30 p.m. in Craddock School's gymnasium. Elementary math and language arts teachers will present curricular expectations and activities. The session is for parents only.
The first elementary parents communication forum will be Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m., when Bob Schuppel will talk about issues of anxiety and how to deal with them. The meeting is at Leighton School.
Craddock student photos are being taken today (Oct. 2), while Miller student photos will be taken Oct. 3. Parents should return their order forms with payments on picture days. Checks should be made payable to Ripcho Studio.
Boy Scout Brett Poremba carried out his Eagle Scout landscaping project at Craddock School's entrance.
Winners for the summer Boxtops for Education contest are: Miller -- Gavin Rumskey, Hunter Sabatino, Chase Parke and Josephine Ruby; Craddock -- David Potts, Gabriel Greenberg, Robbie Kramer, Brynn Winkler, Phoebe Yao, Michael Monda, Hayden Gallagher, Nathan Laslo, Brogan Burgett, Brooke Kotora and Samantha Stask.
Thanks go to the following: parent chaperones for the schools' first field trips of the year to Lake Farmpark and Mrs. Winkler for her leadership with the Boxtops program.
There will be no school for students on Oct. 18, which is Northeast Ohio Education Association day.
