New staffers are working in the elementary schools, including Julia Smerkar teaching full-day kindergarten and Ashley Tyler as an interventionist at Miller, while Dana McKinney is the special education interventionist.
New health-instructional assistants at Miller are Lisa Braun, Carol Heiskel, Kathy Snider and Beth Nahra.
At Craddock, second-grade teacher Kelly Wilk and first-grade teacher Ali Doherty are back from maternity, while Valli Stauffer joins the second-grade teacher team.
Laura Arters is a new reading tutor at Craddock, Dawn Contes is a health-instructional assistant and Judy Pigza is the new cook and is assisted by Becky Mohr.
Elementary PTO Market Day pickup is today (Sept. 4) from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Leighton's cafeteria.
Thanks go to PTO president Bonnie Hardin and vice presidents Mrs. Pierce and Kristen Joy for first-week help and parent volunteers for assisting with morning and afternoon buses.
