Craddock book fair under way

The following items are reprinted from the News from Miller and Craddock Schools newsletter.

Family evening shopping hours at the Craddock School book fair are today (March 6) from 4 to 7 p.m. The book fair runs until March 8. Parents can purchase books online at www.bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/craddockelemsch.

Kindergarten registration is planned March 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. and March 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration folders are available in the Miller office for those parents who did not receive them at the kickoff to kindergarten.

Thanks go to the PTO for purchasing a new set of swings and basketball hoops for Miller's playground, to music teacher Donna Janoso for the first-grade concert at the PTO's fish fry dinner, staffers and teachers who attended the fish fry and Tami Mazzella for writing a grant that brought ventriloquist Mark Wade to the Craddock and Miller.

Online orders for the PTO's Malley's Chocolates sale can be placed until March 25.

Some upcoming events are: March 6 -- Market Day pickup from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Leighton; March 14 -- Malley's candy pickup; March 25-April 1 -- spring break; April 2 -- classes resume.
