Feb. 22 is the date of the first Aurora PTO fish fry fundraiser. It will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the high school commons.

The PTO has sponsored a spaghetti dinner for many years, but decided this year to switch to a fish fry.

The meal includes fish, beverages, desserts and entertainment by various students groups. Two groups of first-graders will sing at 5:30 and 5:50 p.m.

Tickets at $4 for children ages 5 to 12 and senior citizens and $6 for age 13 to adult, and are available at the school buildings, Board of Education office and from members of the PTO.

Kindergarten registration for the class of 2026 will be March 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. and March 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Parents who were unable to attend the kickoff to kindergarten should stop by Miller School to pick up a signup folder. The best times to stop are from 9:30 a.m. to noon or 2 to 3 p.m. For details, call 330-562-6199.

Elementary guidance counselor Tami Mazzella was a semifinalist in the National Guidance Counselor of the Year contest.

The following students at Miller were caught being good: Roman Hardeskky, Dallas Kohl, Kyle Lancaster, Reagan Scott, Natalie Davis, Bayleigh Cumberledge, Cameron Phillips, Nathan Lasklo, Miranda Cook, Sophia Rao, Dylan Lancaster, Niall McClintock, Carlyn Verespej, Christopher Pollak, Johnny Janzig and Ethan Freemont.
