Baptismal session set
A baptismal preparation session for expectant or new parents anticipating a baptism will be tonight (Aug. 6) at 7 in Room 201 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Participants should call the parish office to register.
The youth ministry's annual rummage sale brought in $3,000, which will be used for the annual high school retreat.
Several adults are needed to facilitate PSR classes this fall. All materials and support are provided. If interested, contact Nancy Flanik or Mac Clapp.
The final dates of the fair trade / equal exchange sale will be Aug. 10 and 24. The program promotes human dignity for ensuring fair wages and long-term partnerships between artisans and buyers.

Valley picnic planned
A picnic for Valley Presbyterian Church members in Bainbridge will be Aug. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. at Settlers Park. Food and the their annual cornhole tournament are planned.

Memorial service set
A memorial service for Bob Williams is planned Aug. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Church in Aurora.
Anyone interested in participating in work camp in 2015 should contact the Eavensons for information. The trips will be to Mifflintown, Pa. June 21-27 and Cedar Grove, W.Va. July 5-11.
The Volunteers of America needs canned meats and meals, noodles, jelly, cake mixes and frosting for its food pantry this month.
Baptist officials sought
First Baptist Church of Aurora's elders are accepting nominations for elders, deacons and trustees. Forms are available in the literature rack in the foyer. Contact the Rev. Drew Carroll or a trustee for information.
Alex Sosler will preach at the church Aug. 17. He is seeking to move from his recent licensure to full ordination.
My First School will have a meet and greet Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. so families can meet their child's teacher. Six church members are needed to help with the event, and can sign up for this duty on a connection card.
