Feast day celebrated
A feast day celebration is planned June 22 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, with an outdoor Mass at 11 a.m. Participants should take a lawn chair. Music will be by the Celebration Band and vacation Bible school singers. A spaghetti dinner will follow, with allergy-free offerings available.
Vacation Bible school continues through June 20 from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Newly baptized was Madilynn Grace Smith, the daughter of Kent and Melissa, and newly confirmed was Ashley Patricia Lovett. The next Sacrament of Reconciliation will be July 5 at 3:30 p.m.

Time is worship topic
"Help Lord, I need a Break!" is the summer worship series at Lord of Life Lutheran Church on Route 306 in Bainbridge Township. Each Sunday starting this weekend, members will consider the precious gift of time and how quickly it gets scheduled and spoken for.
There are three services at Lord of Life each week -- a reflective service at 8:15 a.m., a modern/contemporary service at 9:31 and a traditional service at 10:45. The church is at 17989 Chillicothe Road. For more information, call 440-543-5505.
Sign up for FBC camp
Registration is under way for First Baptist Church's summer sports camp, which will run July 30 to Aug. 3. It is for children ages 5 to 12 and cost is $15. Those who register by July 13 will receive a free T-shirt.
Men to watch soccer
Men of Christ Community Chapel-Aurora will watch the USA-Portugal game in the World Cup on June 22 at 5:30 p.m. in fellowship hall. Cost, which includes food and drinks, is $5. Free child care is available when registering online.
Church members are sought to march in the city's July 4 parade or ride bikes, scooters, etc. Vacation Bible camp runs June 23-27 for age 3 to fifth grade. Cost is $15. For details, visit www.aurora.ccchapel.com/events. VBC volunteers also are needed, and there will be a moms tent.
CCC will send a team to Rome from Oct. 19-28. An information meeting will be June 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hudson campus.
Grads honored at UMC
On June 22, Aurora United Methodist Church will honor its 2014 graduates during the morning service.
Vacation Bible school will run July 14-18 from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Theme is "The Workshop of Wonders!" VBS volunteers could use gift cards and donations to offset the cost of this year's supplies.

A NOW ministry team meeting will be June 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the parsonage. Prayer gatherings will be June 18 and 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10 a.m. in the church.

The church's men's ministry will participate in the July 4 after-parade festivities at Kiwanis-Moore Playground selling food to riase funds for missions and ministries.

Infant Zwick baptized
Garrett Phillip Zwick, son of Cory and Abby Zwick, was baptized June 15 at the Church in Aurora.
The Hilliards are hosting a summer movie spectacular every Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Escape. Movies are shown and discussion follows.
The stewardship committee is searching for volunteers to be "counters" after each Sunday serviced. The position involves processing the collection plates for the church financial assistant. If interested, contact Brian Pollock or leave name in the church office.
The church will host a July 4 open house during Aurora's holiday festivities. Volunteers are needed as hosts. A signup sheet is in the Great Hall.
Boutonnieres were given to fathers on Father's Day. An ice cream social also took place that day to signal the end of vacation Bible school.
