Egg hunt slated at Hope
Everyone is invited to Hope Community Church's fifth annual Easter egg extravaganza March 30 at 10 a.m. There will be plenty of candy and special prize drawings. The free family event is for children from birth to 12 years. Participants should take an Easter basket. The church is at 3033 MIddleton Road in Hudson.
Crafts show set at UCC
Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ plans its annual Hop into Spring craft show March 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 17751 Chillicothe Road, just south of Route 422, in Bainbridge Township. Thirty-plus crafters will have a variety of items for Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and spring birthdays. There will be a bake sale and light luncheon, too.

Two more Lenten soup suppers are scheduled -- today (March 13) and March 20 at 6 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church's parish center. Signup sheets for soups are in the church's narthex.
The high school youth ministry group will be in charge of a live presentation of the Stations of the Cross on March 22 at 7 p.m. Practice will be March 17 after the 11 a.m. Mass.
The second annual Paulie McGhee III memorial scholarship fundraising golf outing will be June 17 at Walden. For details, email ken.grohe@emc.com.

Family Passover event set
Congregation Kol Chadash will offer a special Passover program for young children and their families on March 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Barrels of Fun Passover will be led by Cantor Laurel Barr and Kol Chadash family educator Debbie Chessin. The evening will include movement and music, a story, craft and food.

Choralier cantata slated
The Choralier Choir at the Church in Aurora will present a cantata March 17. It is titled "A Technicolor Promise."
The deadline for returning Hope Totes to the church for the Haven of Rest in Akron is March 17. The totes are filled with toiletry items for those in need. A Hope Tote can be picked up in the Great Hall.
Special coffee hours will be offered following the cantatas at both services March 24 (Palm Sunday). Donations of treats such as cookies, cheese, veggies and bread are desired. A signup sheet is posted in fellowship hall. There will be no coffee hours on Easter Sunday.

The 3-H Evening Group will meet March 14 at 6 p.m. to make prayer blankets, shawls and squares. For details, call Kathleen Horak at 330-563-1930.
The Women's Guild will meet today (March 13) at 11:30 a.m. in fellowship hall. Dispersal of Nutcracker Sweet funds will be decided.
Egg hunt planned at UMC
Aurora United Methodist Church plans an Easter egg hunt March 23. Participants should take baskets, and there will be crafts and games.
On March 24, the 10:30 a.m. service will feature a celebration of Mozat's Coronation Mass with musicians from AUMC and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
A Passover meal will be offered March 28 at 6 p.m. hosted by Pastor Jared Priset and David Fair. A free will offering will be accepted.
The Resurrection Day service March 31 will be at 10:30 a.m. and will include a musical presentation by the church's children.
Throughout March, donations are being accepted for the purchase of a tractor for the Omwabini Mission in Kenya. The church also is gathering items to send in care packages to those in the military and at college.

Mission family will speak
On March 17, Aurora Mennonite's missions committee will introduce mission family from Spain, Brian, Noelia, Mikaela and Elisa Fox. They will share a video explaining their mission time in Burgos, Span.
The senior fellowship will entertain Grace Hopkins and friends from Anna Maria today (March 13) at 11:30 a.m. Participants should take a main dish and a salad or dessert to share. The program will be by Norma Jean and Learning Lighthouse Preschool. Members will go to a pancake breakfast March 17 at Shalersville Town Hall.
The church's annual Easter egg hunt will be March 16 at 11 a.m. Stories, a craft and lunch also will be provided.

Youth retreat set at CCC
Christ Community Chapel's high school retreat will be March 16-17 at the church on Route 306. Those interested should email Alex.Soster@ccchapel.com.
Encore ladies will have an informal lunch today (March 13) at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall. They should take a bagged lunch. After eating, they will head to the Hudson campus to hear Barb Hibschman speak about "The Power of Forgiveness." Signups are possible in the foyer.
To sponsor a pot of commemorative spring bulbs to decorate the sanctuary for Easter weekend, stop by the welcome center and fill out a form. The cost is $10 each.
