Streetsboro — Air Enterprises, a company that provides air handling solutions to businesses, is moving into the building on Miller Parkway previously occupied by Commercial Turf Products, which closed at the end of June.
“We’re ecstatic,” Mayor Glenn Broska said. “We knew that building would not be vacant long. Air Enterprises is already starting to move some things in there.
“Streetsboro is a great location for businesses and a gateway to progress. Streetsboro’s location and labor base create one of the premier manufacturing hubs in Northeast Ohio.”
Air Enterprises is looking to add 30 to 50 jobs over the next year and more than 200 jobs over the next five years, Economic Development Director Bill Bishilany said. He said the company has had several employment opportunities promoted through job fairs recently.
“We would like to thank Mayor Glenn Broska and Bill Bishilany for their support and accessibility in helping make this a reality for Air Enterprises,” Martin Ellis, CEO of Air Enterprises, said in a press release
Ellis was unavailable for comment regarding when Air Enterprises would begin operations in the Streetsboro facility, how many employees there are currently and whether the company will continue at its Akron location.
Bishilany said the company could move in prior to the end of the calendar year.
Broska called the 180,000-square-foot facility “very desirable as far as manufacturing and industry goes.”
“We knew it was one of the most desirable sizes for buildings that are out there,” Broska said.
“This is an awfully big building,” Bishilany added. “We had all kinds of activity [from interested businesses] on the building.”
Bishilany said Air Enterprises has “an excellent reputation for building custom air handling solutions for the data center, automotive, healthcare, university, industrial and pharmaceutical markets and is a global leader in this highly differentiated markets.”
