Thefts: A Greenbriar Drive man reported Sept. 22 that unspecified items valued at $550 were taken from his garage. Police said he left the garage door open when he left because someone was home, and the items were missing when he returned.

Police said two women grabbed clothing from a South Chillicothe Road store Sept. 24, put them in totes, exited and departed in a waiting vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. The value of the items was unknown.

A Honeysuckle Path man reported Sept. 3 someone stole a flag hanging on his house. No value was given.

A River Glen Drive man reported Sept. 27 the theft of political signs at the end of his street. He said he does not own the property but had permission from the owner to display the signs.

Lost items: A West Garfield Road auto dealer reported the loss of a license plate Sept. 25 during a test drive. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles was notified.

A Grandview Lane woman reported Sept. 26 that she lost her cell phone while walking her dog. No value was given.

A man turned in keys he found Sept. 24 in a parking lot on West Pioneer Trail. They were being held at the police station until the owner could claim them.

Fraudulent incident: A Blair Circle woman reported Sept. 23 being the victim of identity theft, as fraudulent transactions were recorded on two of her financial accounts totaling more than $6,000. The accounts were flagged and the transactions were voided. The woman was advised to inform her financial institutions of the incident.


DUI citation: An Aurora man was cited for driving under the influence and ignoring a stop sign Sept. 24 after an officer observed him making a turn through a stop sign at West Pioneer Trail and South Bissell Road. He was released on bond and his vehicle was towed.

Deer struck: Police said a Parma woman struck a deer Sept. 24 at about 11:45 a.m. on Aurora-Hudson Road. No human injuries were reported.

Rear-end crashes: An Aurora woman was cited for assured clear distance Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. after police said she struck a Chagrin Falls man's vehicle from behind at Routes 43 and 306. No injuries were reported.

An Aurora woman was cited for assured clear distance Sept. 29 at 1:25 p.m. after police said she struck a Streetsboro woman's vehicle from behind in the 100 block of West Garfield Road. No injuries were reported.

An Aurora female juvenile was cited for assured clear distance Sept. 29 at 2:50 p.m. after police said she struck an Aurora woman's vehicle from behind on West Pioneer Trail. No injuries were reported.

Failure to yield: An Aurora woman was cited for failing to yield Sept. 22 at 11:10 a.m. after police said she pulled out of Townline Road onto Route 82 and struck a Mantua man's vehicle. No injuries were reported.
