An Aurora teen is being held in the Portage County jail on two felony charges after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman last month.
Jamal M.R. Jackson, 18, of Bryce Avenue was arrested July 19 and charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony.
He is being held in the Portage County Jail on $200,000 cash bond.
Jackson was arrested after allegedly kicking and punching a pregnant woman in the head and stomach, and throwing away her cell phone so she couldn't call for help, according to Aurora police.
Additional or amended charges are possible once the case is heard by a Portage County grand jury.
