Passing bad checks: An Aurora man turned himself in April 7 on an open warrant for passing bad checks.

Dirt bike complaints: Police received multiple reports April 8 of two dirt bikes racing on Cochran Road. An officer contacted the two juveniles' father, and the suspects were warned of city ordinances about riding such vehicles on city streets.

Loud music: An Orchard Avenue resident reported April 6 that a neighbor was playing a radio very loudly. An officer checked the area and found the music not overly loud, but he advised the source of the complaint.

Intoxicated man: A Virginia man was charged April 6 with falsification, failure to identify and disorderly conduct after police found him intoxicated in Barrington Town Square. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.

Dog on the loose: A West Mennonite Road resident reported April 6 a dog at large, and the caller could not contain it. Its owner was located, and the dog was returned home.

TRAFFIC-RELATED CASES

DU citation: A Chagrin Falls man was cited for driving under the influence April 9 on Aurora-Hudson Road. He was released on bond.

Car in ditch: An officer checked out a report April 7 of a car in a ditch on Aurora Lake Road, and found the driver went into the ditch to avoid a deer in the road. She had arranged for a tow.

Parked car hit: A local man reported April 6 that his parked, unoccupied vehicle was hit by a vehicle on Pinehurst Drive.

Failure to control: An Aurora man was cited April 4 for failure to control after turning from Cochran Road onto South Sussex Court and striking a guardrail. No injuries resulted.

Rear-end crash: No injuries resulted and no citation was issued April 4 when police said a California man struck an Alliance man's vehicle from behind on North Chillicothe Road, causing minor damage.

Private property crash: Police said an Alliance man backed up April 4 and struck a North Royalton man's passing car on private property on Dunwoody Drive. No injuries resulted.
