Warrant surrenders: An Aurora man turned himself in to police Feb. 7 on a failure to appear in court warrant for felony drug and drug paraphernalia possession. He was released on bond. On Feb. 10, an Aurora woman turned herself in on a failure to appear in court warrant for storing junk vehicles, and was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Warrant arrests: An Aurora man was picked up by Brecksville police Feb. 10 on a failure to appear in court warrant for abusing harmful intoxicants. He was taken to the local police station, then transferred to Portage County Jail. On Feb. 11, an Aurora woman was picked up on a failure to appear warrant for a traffic violation, and was released on bond.

Damaged vehicle: A man reported Feb. 11 that his vehicle was damaged while parked at a Treat Road job site. The other vehicle was identified, and the owners of both told police they would handle the situation on their own.

Horses loose: Someone reported Feb. 10 that five horses were loose near Greenview Drive. The owners were located and returned the animals to their pasture.

Missing firearm: An Old Mill Road man reported Feb. 6 that he was missing a firearm. He was not sure when it went missing. No value was given.

Animal complaint: A Chatham Drive resident reported Feb. 7 that a neighborhood dog was barking all night. An officer checked the area, and found that apparently the dog had been taken inside.

Medical problem: After getting a report Feb. 7 of a driver on Greenbriar Drive outside his car and possibly intoxicated, an officer discovered the man was having a medical issue and the car's battery was dead. The man's wife was contacted to pick him up, and AAA was notified to service the car.

Drug charge: An Akron man was cited Feb. 8 on Timber Lane for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Running auto: A person reported Feb. 12 that an unoccupied vehicle was running in a Barrington Town Square parking lot. An officer found the owner and advised him of the situation.


Failure to yield: An Aurora woman was cited Feb. 6 for failure to yield after she pulled out of Deepwoods Drive and struck another Aurora woman's vehicle traveling by on Winchell Road. No injuries resulted.

Lot crash: An accident occurred Feb. 9 in an Aurora Commons parking lot when an Aurora woman struck a Hiram woman's parked vehicle. No injuries resulted.

Failure to control: A Mantua man was cited Feb. 11 for not maintaining control of his vehicle. Police said he turned right from East Garfield Road onto Eggleston Road, slid on the pavement and struck an Aurora male juvenile's vehicle head-on. No injuries resulted.
