Fraudulent activity: A Mustang Pass man reported Jan. 22 that someone used his debit card without permission. A similar incident was reported Jan. 24 by a Parkview Drive man. No value of transactions made was given in either case.

Suspicious vehicles: A Greenbriar Drive caller reported Jan. 24 a suspicious person in front of her house. Officers discovered it was a person delivering phone books. Someone reported Jan. 22 an occupied vehicle with its engine running in an Aurora-Hudson Road parking lot. An officer discovered the driver was picking up his wife from work. Someone reported Jan. 24 an occupied vehicle running in a North Chillicothe Road parking lot. An officer found it was a woman waiting for the bank to open.

Cat gets another life: A Grand View Lane woman reported Jan. 28 hearing unfamiliar sounds in her house. An officer discovered a cat was stuck in a heating register. It was freed without injury.

TRAFFIC-RELATED CASES

Left of center: An Aurora man was cited for driving left of center Jan. 22 after police said he turned from Route 43 onto North Bissell Road, went over the center line and struck a Hiram man's vehicle head-on. Paramedics took the Hiram man to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment.

Inattention: An Aurora man was cited Jan. 22 for inattention after police said he struck another Aurora man's vehicle from behind on North Aurora Road. No injuries resulted.

Stop sign violation: An Aurora man was cited Jan. 23 for ignoring a stop sign after police said he exited Parkview Drive and struck another Aurora man driving on Greenbriar Drive, causing damage to both vehicles. No injuries resulted.

DUI citation: An Aurora man was cited Jan. 23 for driving under the influence and failure to control after police said he drove off Parkview Drive. No one was injured.

Car goes off road: No citation was issued Jan. 25 after a Mantua woman went off the right side of East Garfield Road, down a hill and struck a gas meter. She was not injured.

Rear-end crash: An Aurora woman was cited Jan. 26 for assured clear distance after police said she struck an Orrville man's vehicle from behind on North Aurora Road at Sycamore Lane. No injuries resulted.

Mirrors contact: No citations were issued and no injuries occurred Jan. 27 when the sideview mirrors of two Aurora men traveling in opposite directions on Robinhood Drive hit each other. One of the mirrors was damaged.

Car hits tree: An Aurora female juvenile was driving east on Walden Drive on Jan. 27, slipped off the road and struck a tree. No injuries resulted and no citation was issued.

Lot collision: Police said an Aurora male juvenile backed out of a parking space in a Barrington Town Square lot and struck a Gahanna man's vehicle. No injuries resulted.

Hijinks: A caller reported Jan. 25 that a vehicle was driving down Lloyd Avenue with a rope pulling children behind it in the snow. An officer could not locate the suspects.
