Warrant arrest: A Middlefield woman was picked up Dec. 19 on a warrant through Aurora police for three counts of criminal simulation, and was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Fraud: A Jackson Road man reported Dec. 20 that an unknown person used his credit card information to make a purchase. The order was cancelled and he was advised to contact his bank.
Warrant arrest: An Akron
woman was picked up Dec. 20 by the Summit County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for complicity through Aurora police, and was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct: A Salt Lake City man was charged Dec. 2 with disorderly conduct and public intoxication at Barrington Town Square.
False alarm: A North Park Drive resident reported Dec. 20 that a man was walking around in his back yard. The caller later reported it was his neighbor cutting wood.
Road kill: A dead deer was reported Dec. 19 at East Garfield and Eggleston roads. It was moved to the side of the road until the service department could remove it.
Open door: A caller reported Dec. 19 that a door was wide open in frigid temperatures at a neighboring house on Hawthorn Drive. An officer contacted the homeowner, who said he was working on floors inside the house and had opened the door to allow the fumes to dissipate.
