Domestic violence: A Mantua man was charged with domestic violence Sept. 27 after police said he bit his girlfriend's hand on North Aurora Road. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.
False identification: A Cleveland man was charged with falsification Sept. 30 after fleeing on foot during the investigation of a possible shoplifting incident on South Chillicothe Road. Police said he provided a false name to an officer. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Hijinks: Women on Chelmsford and Kingston drives reported Sept. 29 and 30, respectively, that someone rang their doorbells and were not at the doors when answered. In both cases, officers searched the areas, but could not find the suspects.
Noise complaint: A person reported Sept. 26 loud music playing on North Aurora Road. An officer responded and found the source had a permit for a party. The person agreed to turn down the volume.
Loud machinery: A Kingston Drive resident reported Sept. 28 that loud machinery was running in the area. Upon arrival, an officer could not locate any noise.
Suspicious person: An officer checked out a report of a person sitting in a parking lot on North Aurora Road on Sept. 29. It was discovered the person was waiting for a pizza he had ordered.
Loud music: Loud music was reported Sept. 28 at 7:50 p.m. on Nautilus Drive. An officer responded, and the homeowner agreed to turn down the volume.
Car-bike collision: A bicyclist was taken to Cleveland Clinic-Twinsburg for treatment after a vehicle-bike accident Sept. 28 at North Aurora Road and East Boulevard. Police said the Streetsboro man was riding across the road at a crosswalk and was struck by a driver, who was cited for ignoring a stop sign.
Car hits tree: No injuries resulted and no citations were issued Sept. 28, when an Aurora woman went off the side of Old Mill Road and struck a tree.
Windshield broken: Police said a Maple Heights woman's vehicle parked in an East Mennonite Road lot was struck Sept. 28 by a ball and the windshield was cracked. No injuries resulted and no damage estimate was given.
Sideswipe crash: While trying to avoid hitting a West Farmington man's stopped vehicle Sept. 27 on South Aurora Road, a Streetsboro man sideswiped the other vehicle and was cited for assured clear distance.
Rear-end crash: An Aurora man was cited Sept. 26 for assured clear distance after police said he struck a Streetsboro man's vehicle from behind on South Chillicothe Road and pushed it into a Ravenna woman's car. No injuries resulted.
Rear-end crash: No citations were issued Oct. 1 after police said a Chagrin Falls women's foot slipped off the brake and her vehicle hit another Chagrin Falls woman's car from behind at South Chillicothe and East Garfield roads. No injuries resulted.
Reckless driver: After a report that a person was weaving and possibly drunk Sept. 29 on North Chillicothe Road, officers could not locate a suspect.
