Beer stolen: A business on North Aurora Road reported Sept. 20 the theft of a 12-pack of beer valued at $10.66.
"Missing" persons found: A Robinhood Drive woman reported Sept. 19 not being able to reach her husband on his cell phone for most of a day and she was concerned for his safety. An officer was able to contact the man and all was OK. On Sept. 20, a Bounty Road man reported his estranged wife was not responding to his texts. An officer contacted the woman, who said she wanted no contact with the man. She was advised to get a civil protection order and inform police if he shows up at her residence or worksite.
Noise complaint: A Parker Road resident reported Sept. 19 that his neighbor was out mowing the lawn at 9:55 p.m. An officer brought the complaint to the lawn mower's attention, and he agreed to cease mowing for the night.
Criminal damaging: An Aurora female juvenile reported Sept. 22 that while leaving her worksite at Aurora Commons she found the passenger side window of her vehicle smashed by a brick. No damage estimate was given.
Flat tire fixed: An unoccupied vehicle was reported parked in someone else's designated spot Sept. 25 at a business on Walden Place. While an officer was checking out the vehicle, the owner's son arrived to fix its flat tire.
Home secured: An officer found a door was open Sept. 24 at an unoccupied home on Ben Shaw Road. He checked the area, found nothing out of the ordinary and secured the door.
Bulldozer running: Someone reported Sept. 23 that a bulldozer was idling at 8:45 p.m. on Yorkshire Drive and nobody was around. An officer located the contractor/dozer operator who was finishing up for the night.
Missing phone: A Lake Milton woman reported Sept. 23 that she lost her iPhone while shopping at a South Chillicothe Road location. No value was given.
Reckless cyclists: Someone reported Sept. 22 that three motorcycles were doing wheelies and driving recklessly on North Aurora Road. An officer located the culprits and warned them about their driving habits.
Loud party: Someone on Cobblestone Road reported Sept. 22 that a loud party with drinking was under way nearby. An officer said the partiers were doing karaoke and were asked to keep the noise down.
Disorderly conduct: An Orchard Avenue man reported Sept. 20 that someone was moving his property survey markers. He was advised that it was a civil matter.
Suspicious walkers: A person on Kingston Drive reported Sept. 20 that two males were walking fast past her residence at 6:45 p.m. An officer discovered they were out exercising.
Lot crash: Police said an Aurora woman exited a parking space in a lot on South Chillicothe Road on Sept. 21 and sideswiped a Parma woman's car. No injuries resulted.
Failure to control: An Aurora female juvenile was cited for failure to control Sept. 21 after police said she attempted to turn right from Route 43 onto West Pioneer Trail and struck an Aurora woman's vehicle which was eastbound on West Pioneer Trail and stopped at the light. Police said both vehicles received minor damage and no injuries resulted.
DUI citation: A Fairview Park man was cited for driving under the influence Sept. 21 at South Chillicothe and West Garfield roads. He was released on a personal bond. A North Ridgeville woman in the car was given a summons for underage drinking.
