Golf golf cart: An Aurora man reported Aug. 28 that a golf cart was taken from Bramble Lane residence. No value was given.
Another theft: A Walnut Ridge Trail man reported Aug. 29 that his laptop computer and a $25 gift card were taken from his unlocked car. No value was given for the computer.
Vehicle break-ins: A Parker Road resident reported Aug. 31 that several cars in his driveway were broken into sometime overnight. He was not sure of items taken and he did not know whether the vehicles were locked.
Surrenders to police: An Aurora man turned himself in on charges of attempted theft on Aug. 31. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Bees at home: A Summerhill Drive woman reported Sept. 2 that she believed there was a beehive in her home. The animal control contractor was contacted to handle the situation.
Dog in car: A person reported Sept. 2 that a dog was locked in a car at a South Chillicothe Road business with windows barely open. An officer found there was adequate ventilation and the animal did not appear to be in distress.
Noise complaint: A Sycamore Lane resident reported Sept. 1 a loud party taking place in the area at 12:30 a.m. An officer responded and told the parties to turn the music off for the evening.
Skateboard complaint: A person reported Aug. 31 that skateboarders were riding in a parking lot on West Pioneer Trail. An officer told them to go to the city's skatepark.
Open doors: Police responded to a report Aug. 31 of overhead doors open at the city's service garage. An officer secured the site.
Broken down car: Someone reported Aug. 31 a vehicle was parked at Barrington Boulevard and North Chillicothe Road with a person asleep inside. An officer discovered the man's car had broken down and he was waiting for assistance.
Noise complaint: A Parker Road resident reported Aug. 31 that a neighbor was running a leaf blower at 2:34 a.m. and woke up several people. An officer told the person to finish the job for the night.
Dog problems: A dog was reported loose Aug. 30 on Deepwoods Drive. The owner was located and said the animal had broken through an electric fence. Another loose dog was reported Aug. 29 on Nancy Drive. That owner agreed to tie up the dog until the invisible fence was inspected or a new fence installed.
Rear-end crash: An Aurora man was cited for assured clear distance Aug. 31 after police said he struck another Aurora man's vehicle from behind at Route 43 and Moneta Avenue. No injuries resulted.
Failure to yield: A Medina man was cited for failure yield Aug. 30 after he pulled out of a parking lot on Campus Drive and struck a Stow woman's passing vehicle. No injuries resulted.
Rear-end crash: No injuries resulted and no citation was issued Aug. 29 after an Aurora woman struck another Aurora woman's vehicle from behind at Route 82 and Bissell Road. The one woman told police her brakes failed and she could not stop.
