Theft from car: An Aurora woman reported Jan. 30 her unlocked vehicle was entered during the night on North Aurora Road and cash and change totaling between $12 and $30 was taken.

Warrant arrest: Aurora police picked up an Akron man Feb. 1 in Akron on a warrant for failing to appear in court, and took him to the Portage County Jail.

Criminal damaging: An Aurora man was arrested Feb. 1 for criminal damaging after allegedly destroying items in his mother's home. He was taken to the Portage County Jail.

Fraud: Police investigated two incidents of identify theft. A North Park Drive couple reported Feb. 5 that several accounts were opened in their names without their consent. On Feb. 5, a Lloyd Avenue man reported fraudulent activity on his credit union account. Two purchases were made totaling $250.

Loose dogs: A North Aurora Road resident reported Jan. 30 and a Circlewood Drive resident reported Jan. 31 that dogs were loose. Officers could not locate them on either occasion.

Vandalism: A Whisperwood Lane man reported Jan. 31 that overnight his son's car was egged and a cinder block was thrown through the windshield. No value of the damage was given.

Harassment: A North Aurora Road resident reported Jan. 31 receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown person.

Lingering limo: After a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Aurora Commons parking lot for awhile on Feb. 4, an officer found it was a limousine driver waiting for her clients.

Mysterious footprints: A Greenbriar Drive man reported Feb. 5 spotting footprints in the snow around his house, indicating perhaps someone was looking in the windows. Police checked the scene and could not locate a suspect.

Noisy neighbor: A Barrington Place East resident reported Feb. 5 that her walls were shaking because an occupant above her was riding an exercise bike constantly. Officers suggested ways to minimize the noise and told the woman to contact her leasing office.

TRAFFIC RELATED CASES

Failure to yield: A Stow woman was cited Feb. 1 for failing to yield after she turned from West Mennonite Road to Aurora-Hudson Road and struck an Aurora man's car. No injuries resulted.

Failure to yield: An Aurora man was cited Feb. 1 after police said he made a left turn from River Glen onto Eggleston Road and struck a Streetsboro man's vehicle. No injuries resulted.

Rear-end crash: An Aurora woman was cited for assured clear distance Feb. 1 after she struck an Aurora man from behind on Route 43 south of North Bissell Road. No injuries resulted, but police said damage to both vehicles was heavy.

Failure to yield: An Aurora male juvenile was cited for failing to yield Jan. 30 after he turned from North Bissell Road onto Route 82 and struck a Streetsboro woman's car. No injuries resulted.

Hit-skip incident: An Aurora man reported Feb. 1 that a vehicle struck him from behind on East Garfield Road and left the scene. Police could not locate the other driver.
