Highestmaintenance wins in first career start

HALLANDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Highestmaintenance won in her first career start, pulling away to beat Gadget Girl by 6 3/4 lengths in a $52,500 maiden special event at Gulfstream Park.

Purchased by Mike Repole for $240,000 in March at the Ocala Breeders' Sale for 2-year-olds in training, Highestmaintenance ran six furlongs under Javier Castellano in 1:09.94. Highestmaintenance paid $5.80, $4 and $2.80, Gadget Girl returned $3.80 and $3.20, and Pearls for Girls paid $4.80 to show.
